Zeplin

Zeplin exists for the handoff: the point where a design becomes something a developer has to build, with exact measurements, colours and states.

It is a narrow, real problem, and it appears in property companies with an in-house development team building a booking site or guest app.

Connecting Zeplin lets developers reach specs conversationally — what the spacing is, which component applies, whether a state was designed — without leaving the environment they are working in. As with the rest of this category, the audience is your technical team.

If your team does not use a formal handoff step, this will not help. It solves one narrow problem well, and there is no benefit in connecting it simply because it appears in a list.

Once Zeplin is connected, ProhostAI can access your designs, components and specifications.

Zeplin connects through OAuth, so ProhostAI never sees your password.

1. Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
2. Search for Zeplin and select Connect.
3. Sign in to Zeplin and approve the permissions.
4. Ask about a component in one of your projects to confirm it works.
